Happy Days

Camp “Express Yourself” in Synky is the best camp in Ukraine. Children not only spend their time having fun but can also improve their knowledge of English and learn Spanish or French. They also provide a great opportunity to get acquainted with  British volunteer Callum Simpson.

I like this camp. That’s why I’ve come here for the second time. Every day in the camp is devoted to one special theme. For example, “Smile Day”, “Hiking Day”, “Health Day”, “Mad Scientist Day” and others. Our task is to prepare a song, dance or act out the play to each theme. After different competitions or concerts our teachers give us points and decide on a winner.

We have 4 lessons per day: 2 educational and 2 fun. I chose Country Studies, French, Art, Craft, and Yoga classes. All of them are very interesting and useful for me. In French lessons, we learn new words, sing songs and play games. In Country Studies we learn facts about English-speaking countries, their customs and traditions. We also sing songs, take part in different quizzes, contests and dance. In fun classes we do yoga, learn to breathe in the right way and make things with our hands.

I think our camp is the most beautiful place to study and relax with great pleasure

“Kratos”

There is no doubt that every child ever has wanted to attend camp. I think that’s because it’s a chance to spend several days without the help of parents.

Fortunately, I got such a chance when I joined Camp Express Yourself. I am very glad to be here. Guess why? First of all, I have made lots of new friends. Moreover, our teachers taught us a lot of interesting things. We have two types of classes. Two of them academic and the others fun. I really enjoy all of them. For example we have studied how to count in Spanish. Now we know how many countries there are in the European Union. In Personal Care lessons, we learnt how to take care of ourselves. For example we have taken part in lots of experiments. We made toothpaste!!!

In the afternoon we had fun classes. They mostly helped us relax. In the Yoga lesson, we studied how to relax doing exercises and breathing.

My favorite lesson is Art and Craft. There we always do the most useful creative and interesting things. For example, using a fingerprint technique we drew nice pictures.

Finally, I would like to say that Camp Express Yourself is a great chance to improve your English and communicate with each other— even communicating with a volunteer from London who is really cool!!!

We had fun, played a lot and had a laugh.

Emotions, love, experience, new acquaintances wait for you in our Camp Express Yourself.

I am thankful to the teachers for creating such a good and friendly atmosphere. Twelve days flew by like a single day. Each day we had four lessons. At first I didn’t like the lessons but when I started to attend them, I understood that it’s a key part of Camp Express Yourself.

I attended French lessons. You are probably wondering ‘why?’ You should know one reason was to come to the camp and learn a new language. Because people say: “As many languages you know, as many times you are a human being”. Then I attended Country Studies.  This lesson is full of interesting and unforgettable moments and emotions. One of my favorite lessons is Art and Craft. In this lesson I do a lot of interesting things such as mosaics, a  weather tree and more! I love to do things with my own hands.

Camp teaches us to work as a team  and generates important values such as team spirit, discipline, solidarity and tolerance.

Also we have a good opportunity to improve our language. We can communicate with our friends and our volunteer. His name  is Callum Simpson and he is from London. I  remember I was afraid to come to Callum and ask him something. I thought that he wouldn’t understand me but I was wrong.

To conclude I want to say that Camp Express Yourself is the most beautiful place where you can relax and find new friends.
